We stayed in the Maplewood Cabin for a girl's weekend away from the city. Driving from Cleveland to Hocking Hills (about 3 hours) in the middle of December was no issue. The entire process was simple and efficient; from booking the reservation, to checking in, and checking out. The property was amazing! The website seriously does not do it justice. It was quiet, peaceful, and the views were wonderful. The cabins are surprisingly well spaced out, so you have some privacy, but it was also nice knowing there were other guests on the property in case there was an emergency or anything. the owners were welcoming and checked in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The cabin itself was VERY clean; there was even Christmas music playing when we arrived. We were also able to bring 2 dogs (a Pitt Bull and a Boston terrier) with us with no issue. Definitely recommend this place!
