Half a mile. Old Man's Cave is the most visited gorge in Hocking Hills State Park, and it is straight up State Route 664 from our driveway, close enough that you can be at the trailhead before the day-trip traffic arrives from Columbus.

About an hour. Columbus is the closest major city, which makes Cedar Grove an easy Friday-evening arrival after work. Most guests driving down from central Ohio are unpacking before dark.

Cincinnati is roughly two and a half hours, and Cleveland roughly three. Both are comfortable half-day drives, which is why weekend stays here draw from across Ohio rather than just the middle of it. Pittsburgh and Indianapolis are also within a half day.

Yes. Every cabin and lodge at Cedar Grove has its own private hot tub, most of them on a covered deck so they are usable in any weather. They are drained, scrubbed, and refilled between stays.

Yes. Every unit has a full kitchen: full-size refrigerator, range, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, dishes, and utensils. Groups regularly cook every meal here, which matters when the nearest grocery run is into Logan.

Up to 85 guests across all eight cabins and lodges. Individually they range from Deer Run and Whispering Pines, which sleep 4, up to Cedar Hill, which sleeps 30. Maximum occupancy includes everyone regardless of age.

Several of our cabins are pet-friendly, and they come stocked with paw towels, a blanket, and waste bags. Pets need to be approved before arrival and a pet fee applies. Pets cannot be left alone in a cabin unless crated.

Yes, and it is one of the most common things we book. The eight units sit on one 65-acre property, so a group can spread across several cabins and still share fire pits, the pond, and the trails. Call us rather than booking them one at a time. We can usually cluster your group in adjacent units.

Yes. Booking all eight cabins and lodges gives your group the whole 65 acres, with no other guests on site. That includes every fire pit, the fishing pond, the trails, and The Haven. Whole-property stays are popular for weddings, family reunions, and company retreats, and need to be arranged by phone.

Walking distance. The Haven sits on the same 65 acres as the lodging. Guests staying on site walk to the ceremony and walk back to their cabins at the end of the night, which removes the shuttle and the designated-driver problem that most rural venues create.

Yes. The Haven at Cedar Grove is our wedding venue: wooded ceremony sites and a 5,000 square foot climate-controlled reception hall that seats 275+, with lodging for 85 of your guests a short walk away.

Yes. The combination that makes this work for companies is the same one that works for weddings: meeting space, lodging, and meals all on one property, with no one driving anywhere in between. Groups use The Haven for sessions and the lodges for breakouts and evenings.

Check in after 4:00 p.m. and check out before 11:00 a.m. Early arrival or late departure of up to two hours is sometimes available for a fee, depending on the turnover that day.

Yes. Booking on this site avoids the service fees that Airbnb, VRBO, and Expedia add on, which commonly run 5% to 20% of the total. Some of our cabins are not listed on those platforms at all, and specials and returning-guest offers are only available here.

More than 30 days before arrival, you receive a refund less 10% of the total. Between 14 and 30 days, 50%. Fewer than 14 days, no refund. There are no refunds for weather or power outages.
